This is how to activate the MobileBanking app on your (new) smartphone.

Step-by-step guide

Would you like to carry out banking transactions quickly, easily and securely with your smartphone? Then you can install the MobileBanking app from the Google- or iOS Store on your mobile phone with just a few clicks. We will also show you how you can easily transfer the MobileBanking app from an old to a new smartphone.

Initial activation of the app or transfer to a new smartphone WITH a Bank Austria debit card

Activate MobileBanking app

After you have installed the MobileBanking app on your device, click on › Activate now.

Enter Online banking access data

Enter your Online banking login details (user number and PIN). You received these when you activated your 24You Online banking (or during your account opening). Then tap › Next.

Forgot your PIN? Request a new one at: bankaustria.at/online-banking-24you.jsp

This step only appears when transferring the app to a new smartphone.

Activate new primary device

After logging in for the first time on the new device, you will be asked whether this device should be set as your new primary device.

Assign a name

You will now be asked to assign a name to your device. Your app login is only possible via registered devices and this ensures your security.

Then tap › Next.

Set your ATC (authorization code)

Now set your authorization code (ATC) an conform it by entering it a second time. ou will need this confidential code to authorize transactions in the app in the future.

The ATC must be 6–10 digits long. › Next

Please remember your Authorization Code.

Verify your identity

You will now be asked to verify your identity using your most recent debit card. Have it ready and click › Start card scan.

An alternative identity verification is available via our Online Banking Hotline: +43 (0)5 05 05‑26100.

Verify your identity

To verify your identity, have your debit card ready. On the back of the card, you will find a verification mark that confirms you quickly and securely as the account holder.

This verification mark will be required in the next step.
Now tap › Start card scan.

Instructions for the scan

Before the scan begins, you will be shown a brief set of instructions.
Please read them carefully and click › Next to start the scanning process.

Card scan

Please align the verification mark within the displayed frame and gently tilt the debit card back and forth during the scan to create light reflections on the mark.

Once the verification mark has been successfully captured, you will see › Scan successful.

Activation completed

You have successfully completed the activation. Your app is now active.
