Can I deactivate CashBack Mobile?
Yes. CashBack Mobile can be deactivated at any time upon request. After deactivation, card transactions will no longer be considered for cashback. CashBack Mobile can be reactivated at any time.

The terms and conditions can be downloaded in the MobileBanking app before activation and are also available on our website.

Are my data shared as part of CashBack Mobile?
To participate in CashBack Mobile, the following data are processed: IBAN, card sequence number and transaction data. Further details can be found in the terms and conditions and the data disclosure information.

Who can I contact if I have questions or complaints about CashBack Mobile credits?

Where can I see my CashBack Mobile transactions and when are they shown?
Each CashBack Mobile transaction is listed individually under › Products › CashBack Mobile › Transactions and becomes visible once the card transaction has been fully processed by both the merchant and the bank (up to 4 days).

Is retroactive activation of a CashBack Mobile offer possible?
No.
Offers that require activation must be activated before purchase.
Offers accessed via link must be started via the link before purchase.
For vouchers or discount codes, the code or barcode must be shown or entered at checkout so that the discount is applied immediately.

From what age can CashBack Mobile be used?
CashBack Mobile can be activated from the age of 14, provided you have an active debit card (BankCard) or credit card.

Does CashBack also apply when paying with Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes, provided the linked card is used and the offer has been correctly activated or the purchase started via the link (see offer conditions for details).

What do I need to do if I receive a new payment card?
If you receive a new debit or credit card, please log in to your MobileBanking app and open › Products › CashBack Mobile. You can then continue using CashBack Mobile with your new card.

Why can I only use CashBack Mobile via the MobileBanking app?
To ensure offers are available anytime and anywhere, CashBack Mobile has been integrated into the MobileBanking app. Most customers log in to the app several times a day.

A friend sees an offer that I can’t find – why?
This can happen. Not all customers receive the same offers, as offers are assigned based on usage behaviour and previous purchases using an algorithm.

Why can’t I see a CashBack Mobile offer anymore?
Once an offer expires, it is removed from the overview.

How long are CashBack Mobile offers valid?
Each offer has a specific validity period. Details can be found in the offer description.

Can I combine CashBack Mobile offers with other discounts?
Yes. CashBack Mobile offers can be combined with other discounts (e.g. loyalty stamp schemes), depending on the partner’s offer conditions.

How and when will my cashback be paid out?
CashBack amounts are collected monthly and refunded to your payment account connected to the debit or credit card by no later than the 15th day of the following calendar month.
You can check your accumulated cashback at any time in the MobileBanking app under Products › CashBack Mobile › Transactions. -
Do I need to tell the cashier that I’m using a CashBack Mobile offer?
For CashBack offers (activation or link), it is sufficient to activate the offer before purchase or start the purchase via the link.
For vouchers or discount codes, the code or barcode must be shown or entered according to the offer conditions so that the discount is applied immediately. -
Are CashBack Mobile discounts available for all card payments?
No. Offers apply only at selected partner merchants, which you can find in your MobileBanking app.

What happens if I don’t use an activated CashBack Mobile offer?
Nothing happens. There are no disadvantages if you don’t use an activated offer.

What should I keep in mind when shopping via a link?
Always start and complete your purchase using the link provided. Do not switch to another app or restart the process later. Please also check the offer conditions.

How can I tell whether I’ll receive cashback or an instant discount?

When should I activate a CashBack Mobile offer?
Offers that require activation must be activated in the MobileBanking app before making a purchase – only then can cashback be credited. Activation is also possible immediately before payment (e.g. while waiting at the checkout).
Offers accessed via link must be opened before shopping using the provided link. Cashback may not be granted if the purchase is not started via the link.
Discount codes and vouchers do not require activation – simply redeem the code or barcode at purchase to save instantly.

Why aren’t CashBack Mobile offers activated automatically?
Partner discounts are only granted to customers who have shown interest. By requiring activation, partners can offer higher discounts exclusively to interested customers.

- Register under Products › CashBack Mobile in your MobileBanking app.
- Select or activate the offers you are interested in.
- Pay in-store or online using your Bank Austria debit card (BankCard) or credit card (including Apple Pay® or Google Pay™).
- Depending on the offer, cashback will be credited to your account in the following month, or you will save instantly using discount codes or vouchers.
Offer details and any restrictions can be viewed directly with the individual partner offer.

What is CashBack Mobile?
CashBack Mobile is a free cashback programme available in the MobileBanking app for our customers, offered in cooperation with our partner Dateio. It is a free feature within Mobile Banking. Once registered, you can earn money back at participating partners, shop at discounted prices via links, and benefit from vouchers and promotional offers.
