7. Implementation of ems direct debit

With “ems direct debit” you can set up SEPA direct debit mandates with minimal effort. By using the IT infrastructure of Austrian banks, it provides a secure service for creditors to obtain authorisation for a SEPA direct debit mandate from their debtors. It can be used without requiring further registration or the need for additional hardware or software.

The advantages of ems direct debit:

  • ems direct debit is based on the respective online banking system of the banks.
  • ems direct debit is multibank-compatible and, of course, SEPA-compliant. Only a standardised, technical XML interface is required.
  • ems direct debit is carried out in real time: SEPA direct debit mandates verified and successfully authenticated by the bank computer are immediately confirmed to you online. This enables you to submit SEPA direct debits straight away.   
8. Implementation of e-identification

The purpose of e-identification is to cross-check the personal data of customers already registered with you (first name, surname, date of birth, address) with their consent. The cross-check with the information stored at the bank is carried out in real time. The customer’s data is immediately forwarded to the bank computer, which immediately confirms online to the web shop the data to be checked after authorisation by the customer. The advantage to you: You can offer services in your shop that require the authenticity of customer data. All data traffic is completely automatic, electronic and encrypted. All users involved (webshop, buyer, banks) must authenticate themselves.

E-identification is attractive for companies from a wide variety of industries (e.g. online shops, insurance companies, telephone providers). The prerequisite for using the service is an existing company current account and an existing online shop on the Internet.
