Customers are supported throughout the process, from searching for a property to signing the loan agreement at the branch. • Financing experts from UniCredit Bank Austria
  • Estate agents from PlanetHome
  • Insurance experts from ERGO
  • Notaries (on request)

Bank Austria MyHome offers 5 benefits for customers

1.    Estate agents help with the property search
Bank Austria MyHome doesn’t just step in once customers have their eye on a specific property and need financing for it, but even before that – that is, when there is a general desire to buy a home, but no concrete idea of a specific property yet. At the MyHome branch, estate agent specialists from our partner PlanetHome are on hand to help you find the right property, compare market prices and coordinate viewings. Before that, if you wish, a needs analysis is carried out, location preferences are defined and the type of property is determined. What sort of property do I want? Which property suits me? What’s a must-have, and what’s a nice-to-have? All these questions are answered together with experts. Advice and support are also provided when selling an existing property.

2.   Is your dream property too expensive? Experts check purchase prices for plausibility
If clients already have a specific property in mind, PlanetHome’s experts can value the property and check the purchase price for plausibility. This service protects clients from paying too much for a property.

3.   Financing and purchase completion under one roof
The experts at UniCredit Bank Austria provide clients with comprehensive advice on financing their dream property. The advisers compare financing options and offer advice on mortgages. Once the loan agreement has been signed, the purchase contract is finalised jointly.

4.    Notary service available directly at the MyHome branch
At the MyHome branch, customers also have the option of having the notary service – which is essential when buying a property – carried out directly on site. Bank Austria works with notaries who carry out the notarial certifications, handle the mortgage deed and arrange for the entry in the land register.

5.    Insurance experts available on-site at the MyHome branch
Insurance experts from Bank Austria’s partner, ERGO, are available in person to assist customers  at the MyHome branch. These experts provide advice on home and contents insurance, as well as risk cover.

Demand for property loans is rising
In the first half of 2026, the volume of residential mortgages at UniCredit Bank Austria rose significantly. Compared with the first quarter, the volume increased by around 32 percent in the second quarter. So far in 2026, a total of around 3,000 new customers have been acquired in this sector.

In the first half of 2026, new residential mortgages totalling around 1.6 billion euros were granted to private households each month across the sector – an increase of around 20 percent compared with the first half of 2025 and almost double the figure for 2024 (+85 percent). We expect this volume to rise further from 16.8 billion euros in 2025 to almost 19 billion euros this year. These figures show that the residential mortgage business is picking up again.

The reason why demand for mortgages is on the rise again lies in improved affordability. Whilst property prices are now almost back at the same level as at their peak in 2022, the average net income (for employees) has risen by 22 per cent over this period. As a result, the average cost of 100 square metres of living space has fallen from 14.4 times the average annual income in 2022 to 11.7 times the average annual income in 2025 – a reduction of almost 3 times the average annual income.
