Christian Strobel-Ludwig appointed new Head of Corporate Banking for the Southern Region, Martin Stocker appointed new Regional Director for Corporate Banking in Carinthia
Christian Strobel-Ludwig (60) will assume overall responsibility for UniCredit Bank Austria’s corporate banking business in the Southern Region, covering Styria and Carinthia, with effect from 1 August 2026. He succeeds Thomas Haslauer, who has decided to pursue new professional opportunities. Christian Strobel-Ludwig will continue to serve as Regional Director for Corporate Banking in Styria. Martin Stocker (34) has been appointed as the new Regional Director for Corporate Banking in Carinthia with effect from 1 August 2026.

Christian Strobel-Ludwig has more than 35 years’ experience in the banking sector. He began his career in the areas of cash management and risk management; his path then took him through roles in export, investment and project finance before moving into corporate client management. Since 2021, he has been Regional Director for Corporate Banking in Styria and Deputy Head of Corporate Banking for the Styria and Carinthia region. He completed a master’s degree in economics, specialising in sales management, at Campus 02 University of Applied Sciences, and supplemented this with international further training, including at the St. Gallen Business School.
Martin Stocker has been working in UniCredit Bank Austria’s corporate banking division since 2022 and based in Carinthia, supports international corporate groups with a focus on sustainable growth and bespoke financing solutions. He began his career in 2018 at one of the “Big Four” accountancy firms, where he gained comprehensive insights into a wide range of industries and was able to deepen his analytical and business management skills. He completed a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Klagenfurt.
