Sabine Hönigsberger takes over as Head of Medium Corporates at UniCredit Bank Austria
Sabine Hönigsberger, 55, will take over responsibility for the Medium Corporates division at UniCredit Bank Austria on 1 April 2026. She succeeds Bernd Meister, who is entering well-deserved retirement after a highly successful career.

Sabine Hönigsberger began her career at UniCredit Bank Austria (formerly Creditanstalt and Bank Austria Creditanstalt) and has more than 25 years of experience in corporate banking. Among other things, she was responsible for structuring international financing and supporting complex transactions. In 2011, she moved to Erste Group, where she further expanded her expertise in corporate banking and assumed management responsibility in the Large Corporates division. Most recently, she headed the SME division at Erste Bank. In this role, she established a modern, growth-oriented management culture and played a key role in driving the strategic development, transformation and digitalisation of the business. Sabine Hönigsberger studied law and business administration.
