Bank Austria is setting new standards on the Austrian banking market with the opening of its new flagship branch for Upper Austria on Linz Hauptplatz. The newly constructed flagship branch is spread over a total area of around 1,000 m2 on three floors. Other units of the Upper Austrian Headquarter are located on a total six storeys covering a total area of approximately 3,600 m2. The new advisory centre for all customer groups is staffed by 90 employees who provide services for around 23,000 private and corporate customers as well as multinational corporates and private banking customers. UniCredit Leasing and various Bank Austria experts such as real estate and investment specialists are also represented in the branch. If required, other experts from corporate departments can be linked into any consultation by video conference.

Customers are received at the new flagship branch by welcome managers and directed to the services they require. Eight places are available for personal customer consultations. To enable customers to conduct their daily banking business, there are two cash manager machines for payments and withdrawals, two ATMs, four account statement printers with transfer function, a coin roll dispenser, a safe, state-of-the-art information screens and a multimedia terminal.

Robert Zadrazil, CEO of Bank Austria: "Our new flagship branch in Linz shows how we imagine a new style of advisory centre for all customer groups. State-of-the-art services enable daily banking transactions to be carried out here easily and conveniently. However, the focus is quite clearly on the advice given to all groups of customers who receive top-quality support on the spot from highly qualified advisory teams expert in all customer matters, while other specialists can take part in the consultation through video conferencing if required. Our innovative branch concept also sets design and architectural benchmarks that enable completely new customer experiences."

The flagship branch for Upper Austria in Linz contains various consultation places spread over three floors for retail and corporate customers, construction & housing as well as private banking customers with extended opening hours from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm on weekdays. A redesigned exclusive area is also available on the second floor.

One-stop shop for corporate customer care
The new advisory centre offers comprehensive care and support for corporate customers and freelancers, SMEs, large enterprises, public-sector customers and multinational corporates. "The flagship branch in Linz is therefore the new figurehead of Bank Austria in Upper Austria in which we set new advisory standards as the leading bank for corporate customers in Austria", emphasised Hartmut Staltner, Regional Director for Corporate Customers at Bank Austria in Upper Austria.

Extended opening hours
Bank Austria has also triggered a "minor Revolution" in banking hours in the shape of its new model for opening hours. It now offers longer opening hours continuously in more than 40 branches throughout Austria from 9 am to 6 pm or 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. "Thanks to the longer opening hours and our specialists in the area of both investment and finance, we can offer our customers expert advice in a first-class atmosphere", emphasised Andreas Teubel, Regional Director for Private Customers, Corporate Customers and Independent Professions in Upper Austria and Salzburg.

Private banking services with tailored asset planning
"The new flagship branch in Linz is of particular benefit for private banking customers too", stressed Karl Mader, Regional Director for Private Banking at Bank Austria in Upper Austria. "In a modern but still discrete atmosphere we can implement our 360-degree advisory approach in the most perfect way. Using state-of-the-art techniques, our private banking advisers in the branch can also draw on the help of highly qualified experts for all investment, asset planning and financing requirements in talks with customers."

Advisory concept of a modern universal bank
The successful transformation of Bank Austria into a modern universal bank, which started two years ago, is still continuing at a much quicker pace. Branches and digital services featuring an online shop, online and mobile banking as well as smart banking with video consultation are being extended to become equivalent consultation methods. "We are also focusing on fewer but much larger and highly modern branches with a significantly expanded range of advisory services and longer opening hours like here in Linz. The flagship branch in Linz is an example of how we imagine a bank for customers in the 21st century", emphasised Robert Zadrazil.

Bank Austria therefore employs 100 real estate specialists and 100 investment experts who either provide personal advice at the branches or can be linked into the consultation in the branch by means of a video conference. Robert Zadrazil sums up: "Our range of ultra-modern new-style branches throughout Austria is steadily growing and the technical upgrading of our existing branch network is making rapid progress. By 2018 we will have modernised our entire branch network. Using this strategy we are also targeting marked growth in new customers by opening up new growth perspectives through the best customer services on the market."
