The UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour presented by UniCredit hits the road again
- Over the next 7 weeks, UniCredit will take the UEFA Champions League Trophy on a tour of Europe for the eighth year in a row ´
- From Sept. 13 to Oct. 30 the trophy will visit 16 cities across five countries, starting in Romania before moving on to Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Hungary
- During the tour football fans will have the chance to take a picture with the trophy and meet some famous football players in person
The Trophy Tour will start in Iași, Romania, with an opening press conference on Sept. 13. Then the red Trophy Tour truck will stop in 15 more cities, opening its doors to the public with a free-of-charge exhibition. The central display will be the highly sought-after trophy from Europe’s most prestigious club football competition.
The truck, which was built especially for the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour, turns into a spectacular, 200-square-meter trophy exhibition space. The trophy will be displayed on an open balcony, offering great visibility for passersby and excellent photo opportunities. Football fans can take a photo with the trophy, play interactive games and see an exciting exhibition of memorabilia signed by some of the greatest legends ever to play in the UEFA Champions League.
In each capital city, fans will also have the chance to meet and take pictures with a UEFA Champions League Ambassador, who areformer football legends. In addition, this year the tour will make stops at selected local business establishments, shopping malls and other unconventional locations for the sake of novelty and to reach a wider group of fans.
From 2009 to 2015, more than 600,000 people across 16 countries experienced the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour. The tour has become an important annual event for UniCredit Group.
