CashBack Online is an innovative benefit programme that offers customers of Bank Austria discounts and special offers at more than 500 attractive online shops and travel websites. All that is needed is an initial, and free, registration on the website of the cooperation partner benefitWorld (cashbackonline.at). If customers then enter the online shops of partner companies via this site, attractive cash discounts are automatically credited when they make purchases, which in most cases range from 4 to 10 percent, but can also be higher or lower. The method of payment can be chosen freely.
Helmut Bernkopf, Bank Austria Management Board member with responsibility for retail and corporate customers, emphasises: "Following the great success of our CashBack benefit programme, which has given Bank Austria customers more than a million euros back in cash discounts at our partner companies since last autumn simply by paying with their bankcard, we are now really starting to expand our initiative. With CashBack Online we offer extremely attractive cash discounts at over 500 online shops and travel websites through the online shopping site cashbackonline.at. As a strong partner we enable our customers to get cash back online very easily."
Assuming the cancellation and exchange periods have already elapsed, the discounts accumulated are credited directly to the designated Bank Austria account in the following month. Customers are free to choose what they want to do with the amount; as part of its "Acting together for a respectful society" initiative, (gemeinsam-miteinander.bankaustria.at) Bank Austria also offers a chance to donate all or some of the discounts received to a charity organisation, like SOS Children’s Village or Caritas.
Attractive partner companies
A whole host of interesting partner companies are already on board with the CashBack Online benefit programme. All industries are represented, from sports equipment retailers (Giga Sport, Blue Tomato, Odlo) to mail-order companies (Otto, Quelle, Universal Versand), clothes shops (Marco Polo, Cecil, Orsay, Deichmann, Humanic, George, Gina & Lucy, Palmers) and cosmetics (The BodyShop, Flaconi) to toys (Toys "R" Us, Ravensburger). There are also more than 100 reputed travel operators to choose from under benefitTravel. The network of partners is constantly being expanded.
On the online shopping website (cashbackonline.at) customers of Bank Austria get an overview of all the partner companies from the various industries and the direct access to the given online store. Bank Austria is a cooperation partner here of benefitWorld, which operates CashBack Online. Naturally, the website can also be accessed on any smart-phone.
"People’s shopping habits have changed significantly in recent years and shifted to the digital market place. Not only do we want to meet these new needs with modern banking solutions such as SmartBanking, we also want to offer our customers a practical solution in the form of CashBack Online to get cash back when shopping online", concludes Helmut Bernkopf.
