Together with UniCredit banks in the Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia and the United Kingdom, Bank Austria was named one of the most attractive employers in Europe. Bank Austria received this coveted award as one of Europe’s top employers for the fifth consecutive year. The Top Employer Award is presented by the Top Employers Institute and honours outstanding achievements in HR processes, working conditions, training and development, career development and culture management.

"The Top Employer Award illustrates very clearly how much we invest in the development of our employees and that we offer an excellent work environment with various possibilities for personal development and life-long learning", points out Doris Tomanek, Bank Austria board member for Human Resources Austria and CEE.

Certified evaluation process
The Top Employers Institute selects top employers on the basis of a multi-tiered, certified evaluation process which centres around:

  • Extensive, fact-based research
  • Analysis of HR policies and personnel strategies
  • Independent review of the results

Following programs were evaluated specifically: talent strategy, human resource planning, onboarding, training and development, performance management, executive training, career & succession planning, compensation and Benefits as well as corporate culture.

The awards are presented to representatives of the best European companies at a gala ceremony in Amsterdam. This year, the renowned prize was awarded to just seven Austrian top companies for their excellent work in the field of human resources.
