Opening hours extended from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 30 branches of Bank Austria in Vienna starting from October 2014
- After a successful pilot scheme at the new Wieden Branch, 30 Bank Austria branches in Vienna (including Schwechat) will extend their opening hours on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting from October this year
- Bank Austria is thus significantly enhancing services and advice offered to customers
- The main reasons for this move are very positive feedback from customers and the objective of further raising customer satisfaction
Bank Austria successfully piloted new opening hours at its first new-style branch in Vienna’s Wiedner Hauptstrasse. From 1 and 31 October 2014, a total of 30 branches in Vienna (including Schwechat) will now extend their opening hours on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The introduction of the new opening hours initially focuses on Vienna as a core market (including Schwechat) because there is a sufficiently large number of major branches in highly frequented locations in this area. Offering extended opening hours also requires an adequate number of employees working in the branches. Results from surveys covering over 35,000 customers every year and very positive feedback from customers on the new opening hours at the pilot branch in Wieden have been the main factors leading to the bank’s decision to introduce extended opening hours at additional branches.
