Bank Austria crowned “Best Trade Finance Bank” by Global Finance
US-based finance magazine Global Finance has named Bank Austria the "Best Trade Finance Bank" in Austria for 2014 based on an annual survey of analysts, managers and technology experts. This is now the sixth year in succession that the title has gone to Austria's market leader. Its subsidiaries in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Ukraine were also presented with awards, while UniCredit was voted "Best Trade Finance Bank" in the Central and Eastern Europe region. The main criteria used to select the winners were transaction volume, geographical reach, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technologies.
Dieter Hengl, Head of Corporate & Investment Banking at Bank Austria, said: "This internationally acclaimed award is both a gratifying acknowledgment of the outstanding work done by our employees and proof of our reliability as the go-to bank for global companies. With the international UniCredit network and our extensive range of products, we can offer companies in Austria and throughout the region unrivalled benefits in their documentary and guarantee business."
As a sub-holding company of the UniCredit Group, Bank Austria manages operations in the Central and Eastern Europe region excluding Poland. Its CEE banking network includes some 2,500 branches and employs around 46,000 staff across 14 countries.
The finance magazine Global Finance has been running for 27 years and is read in 163 countries.
