General meeting of Bank Austria elects two new members to Bank Austria’s Supervisory Board

  • At today’s extraordinary general meeting of UniCredit Bank Austria, Alfredo Meocci (60) and Alessandro Decio (47) were elected as new members of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bank Austria.

The Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bank Austria AG has 11 elected members. The election of new members was required following the resignation of Karl Guha and Candido Fois as Supervisory Board members. The election to the Supervisory Board was the only item on the agenda of the extraordinary general meeting of UniCredit Bank Austria.

Born in Verona, Alfredo Meocci has held various top management positions in his 30-year career, including Director General of RAI, Italy’s national broadcasting company, from 2005 to 2006. Since 2009 he has been a member of the Board of the Authority for the Supervision of Public Contracts. This is an independent body set up by the Italian government to supervise the entire public procurement system.

Alessandro Decio was born in Italy and has been Group Chief Risk Officer of UniCredit since August 2012. Decio joined UniCredit in 2000 and has held various management positions since then, including Chief Operating Officer of Zagrebačka banka, Bulbank and Yapı Kredi and Group Head of the Family & SME Division.
