UniCredit named 'Best Cash Management Bank' in CEE Euromoney Cash Management Poll 2012

  • UniCredit ranked number one in Central and Eastern Europe and one of the top three providers in Italy and Germany
  • UniCredit ranked worldwide number one in 'Industry expertise and knowledge', 'Technical support and guidance' and 'Compatibility with clients' systems'
  • UniCredit granted Euromoney's Award for Excellence 2012 as Best Cash Management House in Central Eastern Europe

Euromoney's Cash Management Poll 2012 yesterday revealed that UniCredit is the cash management provider of choice for international corporates with operations in Central and Eastern Europe. The poll also assigns UniCredit a leading position in Italy and Germany, where it ranks as one of the top three domestic cash managers. Moreover, UniCredit was voted best cash management bank in the following 7 countries; Bosnia Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovenia. The survey, which includes feedback from more than 17,000 international corporates, was published today and is available on the magazine's website.

Jean Pierre Mustier, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at UniCredit said: "These awards are a great achievement, confirming that our clients appreciate our continous efforts to offer the best possible service and to facilitate access to operations in Western, Central and Eastern Europe. Cash management is a core service for our international clients with cross-border operations and UniCredit strives to provide tailor-made solutions for every need. We appreciate this recognition from the international corporates and will continue to focus on improving and developing our core client offering”.

Gianni Franco Papa, Head of CEE Division at UniCredit stated: "Cross-border services are a key pillar of UniCredit's strategy for corporate customers. Therefore I am especially proud of this recognition of our cash management services from our clients. For a number of years now, we have been focusing on providing customer satisfaction on a daily basis. This is evaluated through regular interviews with our customers. Our service models and decision-making structures are geared towards this and customer satisfaction is a key component when we are developing new products. This recent poll from Euromoney, and the awards granted to our Group, confirm our strong conviction that we should continue along this path."

This year's poll results also rates UniCredit as the best cash manager globally in three service categories; 'Industry expertise and knowledge', 'Technical support and guidance' and 'Compatibility with clients' systems'.

In July this year, in a separate award ceremony, a Euromoney jury had also chosen UniCredit as Best Cash Management House in CEE.
