Bank Austria once again named "Best Trade Finance Provider" in Austria

Bank Austria was once again named the "Best Trade Finance Provider" in Austria for 2012 by the US financial magazine Global Finance. This was the result of an annual survey among analysts, managers and technology experts. This is the fourth year in a row that the honour has gone to Austria's leading commercial bank. At the same time, UniCredit was named the "Best Trade Finance Provider 2012" in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. The Ukrainian subsidiary Ukrsotsbank was also honoured. The most important selection criteria for the award were transaction volume, geographic range of coverage and market share, customer service, expertise and the development of tailored solutions.

Dieter Hengl, Management Board member responsible for Corporate & Investment Banking at Bank Austria, had this to say: "We serve as a reliable and stable partner for Austrian exporters and accompany them as they enter new markets with security and efficiency in foreign trade. Nearly half of all export documentary credits already go through Bank Austria. I am extremely pleased that we were named the ‘Best Trade Finance Provider' in Austria, and this honour is testament to the fact that domestic export firms rely on our expertise and service quality when it comes to hedging their banking and country risks with documentary credits and guarantees."

Bank Austria is the hub of UniCredit's banking network in Central and Eastern Europe, where the Group is the undisputed market leader with roughly 3,800 branches in 19 countries. The international magazine Global Finance was founded in 1987 and has readers in 163 countries.
