New heads of Markets Department at Bank Austria
Klaus Swoboda and Robert Wieselmayer jointly to head up Markets Department
The Markets Department in Bank Austria has two new managers: Klaus Swoboda, 46, Global Head of Institutional Distribution at UniCredit, together with Robert Wieselmayer, 41, former Co-Head of Strategy & Commercial Planning, are to take over the running of the Markets Department. Both managers therefore have product responsibility for interest-rate, currency, equity and capital market activities as well as credit-related transactions of the Corporate & Investment Banking Division at Bank Austria.
Klaus Swoboda studied computer science at the University of Vienna. Swoboda then took up management positions at various investment banks in Frankfurt. In 2007 Swoboda switched to become Global Head of Institutional Distribution at UniCredit, and has since been responsible for institutional client care, a task he will continue to perform. Klaus Swoboda is married with two children.
Robert Wieselmayer graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and began his career back in 1994 at the then Creditanstalt. He then took on various management positions within Controlling at UniCredit. Latterly Wieselmayer was responsible for CIB Strategy & Commercial Planning Austria and was part of the UniCredit Bank AG management team in Vienna."
