New heads of credit risk management at Bank Austria
- Heinz Tschiltsch new head of CEE Credit Operations
- Harald Brückl responsible for Special Credit Austria department
Bank Austria restructured its credit risk management as of 1 January: Heinz Tschiltsch, 55, former head of Special Accounts Management, took over as the head of the newly established CEE Credit Operations. Tschiltsch is responsible for not only the CEE restructuring operations, but also all underwriting and monitoring activities in the CEE region. His previous deputy department head Harald Brückl, 45, will head up the Special Credit Austria department starting immediately. Brückl is responsible for all of Bank Austria’s domestic restructuring and workout operations.
Heinz Tschiltsch graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and has been working for the current Bank Austria since 1979. Tschiltsch started out as a credit analyst after completing the trainee programme and has worked in various managerial positions since 1989. In 2008, he became the department head of Special Accounts Management, where he was responsible for all of the Bank Austria group’s restructuring and workout agendas. Heinz Tschiltsch is married has one son.
Harald Brückl also graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and has been working for the Bank since 1991. His career has taken him from customer business to the trainee programme of the former Creditanstalt and finally to risk management, where he has held various positions of leadership since 1996 – most recently as the unit head and deputy department head of Special Accounts Management responsible for the restructuring and workout agendas of the Bank Austria group.
