Today the Supervisory Board of Bank Austria has adopted a resolution appointing Robert Zadrazil, who has been Chairman of the Management Board of Schoellerbank AG since 2009, to the Management Board of Bank Austria with effect from 1 October 2011 to head Bank Austria's Private Banking Division. In this function he succeeds Jürgen Danzmayr, who was appointed to the Management Board of UniCredit Bank AG (the former Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG), Munich, as Head of its Private Banking Division.

Willibald Cernko, CEO of Bank Austria: "Robert Zadrazil, who was a member of Bank Austria's Management Board a few years ago and has successfully headed Schoellerbank, will again join the Management Board of Bank Austria as Head of the Private Banking Division. He is a top manager with extensive management experience and international expertise. I am pleased that we can fill this position with a top manager from within our banking group. This is proof of continuity at top management level and shows that we have a strong base of executives in our European banking group."

Helmut Bernkopf, Head of the Private Banking Division of UniCredit with responsibility for the entire Group's business with high net worth individuals: "With the appointment of Robert Zadrazil, an experienced bank manager, to the Management Board, Bank Austria has strengthened the basis for further expanding its leading market position in private banking in Austria. Client assets under management in the Private Banking Division of Bank Austria exceed EUR 17 billion. Robert Zadrazil is thus taking charge of a strong Private Banking Division, which will be provided with further impetus under his direction."

Robert Zadrazil, 40, will join the Management Board of Bank Austria with effect from 1 October to head the Private Banking Division in Austria. He has been active for Bank Austria since 2001 and was appointed to the Management Board as Chief Operating Officer in 2006. From August 2007, and in addition to his function as Management Board member, Zadrazil was responsible within UniCredit Group for Global Banking Services in Central and Eastern Europe. In May 2009, Robert Zadrazil became Chairman of the Management Board of Schoellerbank AG. He is married and has two children.

The Private Banking Division – comprising the two brands Bank Austria Private Banking and Schoellerbank – has offices in 25 locations throughout Austria, with about 550 employees serving foundations and almost 34,000 high net worth individuals with assets of at least EUR 500,000 for investment. The Private Banking Division is market leader in Austria with a market share of 19 per cent, and manages client assets totalling about EUR 17.1 billion. The investment strategy gives priority to preserving wealth over achieving short-term performance, while managing risk through broad diversification.
