CASH Trade Forum:
Bank Austria celebrates 25 years of sponsorship

• Austria’s leading commercial bank has been sponsoring this platform for the trade and branded goods industries for a quarter century
• Experts from the bank will speak about how to end the euro crisis and the future course of development in the eurozone at this year’s CASH Trade Forum
• Bank Austria is celebrating the occasion by presenting SOS Children’s Villages with a minibus

The Manstein Verlag will put on the CASH Trade Forum for the 26th time this year from 27 to 29 April in Fuschl. High-profile guests from the food industry and the business community will discuss current issues at the three-day symposium, which is being held under the motto “Now’s the Time for Visions – Courage to Go Beyond the Status Quo” this year. Stefan Bruckbauer, chief economist at Bank Austria, and Michael Rottmann, head of Interest and Currency Strategy at UniCredit, will  give presentations on how to end the euro crisis and the future course of development for the currency union.

Bank Austria has been sponsoring the long-standing event for the trade and branded goods industries since 1986, which makes it the longest sponsoring activity for Austria’s leading commercial bank with 25 years of cooperation. “The CASH Trade Forum has become a genuine institution. Which makes me all the more thrilled that we have been supporting it for a quarter century now and have been able to contribute to this success story,” said Helmut Bernkopf, the Management Board member responsible for Corporate & Investment Banking at Bank Austria, adding, “It’s synonymous with high quality and is one of the most important platforms for exchanging experiences in the trade and branded goods industries.”

Bank Austria celebrating anniversary by presenting SOS Children’s Villages with a minibus
In honour of the 25-year anniversary of its sponsorship of the CASH Trade Forum, Bank Austria is making a very special donation to SOS Children’s Villages. “As one of Austria’s leading banks, we are not only committed to financial success, but also to honouring our social responsibility,” said Helmut Bernkopf, continuing, “Which is why we want to give back a little bit of the positive energy we experience every day. We decided to donate EUR 1,000 for each year of our sponsorship, which makes for a total of EUR 25,000, to a good cause – our cooperative partner SOS Children’s Villages – in the form of a minibus. I’d like to wish SOS Children’s Villages and its families safe and pleasant travels with this vehicle.”

Today, Helmut Bernkopf will present the minibus, which is filled with treats, to Erwin Roßmann, managing director of SOS Children’s Villages. Bank Austria is sending a clear signal with this donation: “Children come first – no matter what!” Bank Austria and SOS Children’s Villages have been collaborating closely since 2008 – among other things, Bank Austria supports SOS Children’s Villages in Austria with house sponsorships.
