World Finance chooses Bank Austria as Austria's best bank
The London-based financial magazine World Finance has named Bank Austria the best banking group in Austria. In its selection, the jury – which has over 203 years of combined experience in financial journalism – examined each bank’s key financial figures as well as their range of products, innovative capacities, focus on service, growth strategy, stability, product platforms, alternative financial products and competitive position. The award for Best Banking Group – Austria was presented for the fourth time this year.
According to Willibald Cernko, CEO of Bank Austria: “Banks lost huge amounts of trust during the global financial crisis, when barely any differentiation was made between investment and commercial banks. So I am particularly pleased about the award from World Finance. It is a very clear confirmation of our efforts to improve our reputation once again and win back the lost trust of our customers through even greater customer proximity, simpler products and higher service intensity.”
The magazine World Finance’s readership includes around 120,000 of the world’s decision makers, from numerous CEOs and CFOs to treasury experts and fund managers. World Finance’s web site recently received some 1.1 million hits a month.
