The most innovative financial service 2010: the Bank Austria "AufschwungKredit" loan
- Bank Austria's "AufschwungKredit" loan nominated as the most innovative financial service at the Alpbach Financial Symposium 2010
- The "AufschwungKredit" loan is geared to helping medium-sized to large companies through difficult times
Participants at the Alpbach Financial Symposium 2010 nominated Bank Austria's "AufschwungKredit" loan as the most innovative financial service 2010.
"We are very pleased to receive this audience award in recognition of our efforts to help SMEs and larger companies with economic support measures. In this way, Bank Austria helps companies to pull through in times of economic hardship", says Helmut Bernkopf, member of Bank Austria's Management Board with responsibility for Corporate and Investment Banking.
Bank Austria was presented the award for the most innovative financial service by virtue of the idea underlying the "AufschwungKredit" loan: combined with free, comprehensive advice on liquidity and possibilities for taking advantage of financial assistance schemes, the purpose of the loan is to support the competitiveness of SMEs and larger companies in the current economic environment.
This financial solution is envisaged for companies with an annual turnover of between EUR 3 and 250 million whose rating has temporarily deteriorated as a result of the crisis. Eligibility criteria are a sound capital base, sustainable competitiveness, the availability of current business data and a realistic business plan.
The "AufschwungKredit" loan is available in two forms: as a working capital facility of up to EUR 10 million with the inclusion of financial assistance provided by financial assistance schemes – such as an aws (Austria Wirtschaftsservice) SME guarantee – or as an investment loan in the amount of EUR 5 to 20 million.
A liquidity/cash flow analysis and a debt capacity analysis are performed in the case of either type of "AufschwungKredit" loan, and the results of the analyses moreover furnish the customer with valuable information on the situation of his company.
