Herbert Tempsch to head the new Financing & Advisory Department
On 1 April Herbert Tempsch, 48, will take over as the head of the new Financing & Advisory Department at Bank Austria. In his new role, he will be responsible for structured corporate financing, project financing, export and investment assistance, financing advice and the management of the credit portfolio of Austrian corporate customers. Since the Financing & Advisory Department was established in the autumn of 2009, Helmut Bernkopf, Bank Austria's Management Board member responsible for Corporate & Investment Banking, has served as the interim head.
Tempsch studied business management and has been working for the current Bank Austria since 1989. Over the course of his career, he has filled a variety of positions in the fields of project financing, mergers and acquisitions, structured corporate financing, subsidised investment financing and commercial residential construction. Tempsch's last position was as the head of the Corporate Structured Finance Department. In his new role, Tempsch will report to Bank Austria Management Board Member Helmut Bernkopf and the Global Head of Financing & Advisory, Vittorio Ogliengo. Tempsch is married and has two children.
