Sale of Bank Austria real estate to SIGNA Holding successfully completed
Bank Austria and SIGNA Holding have announced that they have successfully completed the sale of the two Bank Austria properties at Am Hof and on Vordere Zollamtsstraße, and all of the provisions of the preliminary agreement signed in August have been fulfilled. "The closing of this transaction as planned shows that high-quality projects can be realised even under difficult conditions. Thanks to the investment from Mr Benko I am happy that the tourism and shopping city of Vienna will soon have another additional highlight for the public", said Robert Zadrazil, COO of Bank Austria.
Am Hof 2: The former head office building of Österreichische Länderbank is located in one of the most attractive squares in Vienna’s city centre. The property measures 4,054 m², the building has a total floor space of about 21,720 m² and was completely renovated in 1995. The building is classified as a historical monument.
Vordere Zollamtsstrasse 13: The former head office building of Bank Austria, originally designed by the architects Arthur Perotti and Anton Potyka as the new head office of Zentralsparkasse der Gemeinde Wien, a savings bank, replaced the Wiener Bürgertheater in 1965 and was redesigned in 1992. On an area of 2,345 m², the building’s total floor space is about 23,100 m², with underground parking for 78 cars.
