The fourth largest Slovakian bank starts operations
HVB Bank Slovakia and UniBanka, the two banks of UniCredit Group in Slovakia, finalized their integration process on 2 April 2007. The newly formed “UniCredit Bank” is the fourth largest Slovak bank in terms of network size, customer deposits and loans volume. With total assets of 3.55 billion Euro and a market share of 9 percent, it combines the strenghts of the two banks. Retail customers will benefit of the best service in a country-wide network of 93 branches. In the corporate segment, UniCredit Bank is a leader, e.g. with the largest market share in agribusiness.
The new UniCredit Bank prepared a series of new products and attractive conditions for its customers. In order to provide the best product range to the needs of the customers, e.g. the offer of mortgage loans will be wider – for example standard mortgage loans through 100% financing, combined mortgage loans and life insurances up to mortgage loans in Euro. Additionally, UniCredit Bank is the only bank in Slovakia which does not charge any accounting entries. Domestic payments by cards as well as abroad and withdrawals from its own ATM are also free of charge. Moreover, cross border transfers to subsidiary banks within the UniCredit Group will be privileged and proceeded faster.
