Stefan Ermisch named COO of Multinationals & Investment Banking Division of UniCredit Group, Johann Strobl nominated as CFO of Bank Austria Creditanstalt
Stefan Ermisch, currently a member of the Managing Board of Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA) as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the global Multinationals & Investment Banking Division of UniCredit, based in Munich. The appointment will be effective 1 April 2006. Mr Ermisch will report to Sergio Ermotti who leads the global Multinationals & Investment Banking Division. Mr Ermisch will be in charge of a number of guidance, support and controlling functions (e.g. planning and control, accounting, fiscal, shareholdings, operations/organization, ICT, human resources) aimed at supporting the Head of Division, in strong coordination with the relevant UniCredit functions, in the project focusing on the setting up of the new Global Investment Banking Business.
Johann Strobl, currently member of the Managing Board of BA-CA and responsible for risk management, will assume the function of CFO with effect from 1 April 2006, maintaining ad interim the current responsibility. The change in the Managing Board of BA-CA is subject to approval by the Supervisory Board.
Stefan Ermisch (40) has been a member of BA-CA's Managing Board since January 2004. As CFO he has made a substantial contribution to the favourable development of BA-CA's value. Born in Bonn/Germany, he was previously head of Group Strategy and Development and Head of Investor Relations of HVB Group. Mr Ermisch, who holds a degree in business administration, has been working for the Group since 1998. He started his career as a bank analyst at Trinkaus & Burkhardt in Dusseldorf. Mr Ermisch is married and has two children.
Johann Strobl (47) is BA-CA's Chief Risk Officer and has been a member of BA-CA's Managing Board since January 2004. He has been active for the BA-CA Group since 1989. In the period from 1989 to 2004, Mr Strobl held various management positions within the bank, including Head of Market Risk Management, Head of Group Risk Management and
Head of Treasury and Financial Markets. Mr Strobl graduated from Vienna's University of Economics and Business Administration, where he worked as a university assistant from 1984 to 1988. Johann Strobl is married and has three children.
