Bank Austria Creditanstalt is again "Bank of the Year" in CEE
- Bank Austria Creditanstalt receives two awards from "The Banker".

For the third time in a row, the renowned British financial magazine "The Banker" has again named Bank Austria Creditanstalt "Bank of the Year in Central and Eastern Europe". The award was handed over at "The Bank of the Year Awards 2004" held in London yesterday evening. Additionally, BA-CA was named "Bank of the Year in Austria". Erich Hampel, Chairman of the Managing Board of Bank Austria Creditanstalt: "I am very proud of winning these important awards. They are a special recognition of our achievements in our core markets Austria and Central and Eastern Europe." Bank Austria Creditanstalt is responsible for Austria and Central and Eastern Europe within HVB Group.
The jury selecting the award winners included CEOs and managing directors of British companies as well as several editors of "The Banker" headed by Stephen Timewell.

"The Banker's" worldwide readership includes primarily top managers and financial experts. The banking community sees "The Banker" as a major source of information on all aspects of banking. The magazine's rankings are widely recognised as benchmarks in the international banking industry.
