Bank Austria Creditanstalt named "Best Bank in CEE"
The US financial magazine "Global Finance" named Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA) "Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe" (CEE) in its current May issue. Last year the bank received the same award from "Euromoney" and from "The Banker". Friedrich Kadrnoska, member of the Managing Board of Bank Austria Creditanstalt: "This international success confirms our strategy in Central and Eastern Europe. We will continue to invest in our broad network in this growth region".
Bank Austria Creditanstalt is the leading network bank in Central and Eastern Europe. Approximately 20,000 employees serve 3.5 million customers in 11 countries. The bank continues to enlarge its CEE network. In 2002, BA-CA bought two banks: Biochim in Bulgaria and Splitska Banka in Croatia. BA-CA also founded a subsidiary in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A representative office in Macedonia was opened in March 2003.
"Global Finance" has more than 300,000 readers in some 160 countries. Its target group comprises top managers and finance experts. The ranking is based on surveys and analyses in growth markets and financial centres.
