Bank Austria Creditanstalt named "Best Trade Finance Bank" in CEE
The US financial magazine "Global Finance" named Bank Austria Creditanstalt "Best Trade Finance Bank in Central and Eastern Europe in 2002" in its February issue. Last year the bank received the same award for Austria. Angelo Rizzuti, Head of Trade Finance at Bank Austria Creditanstalt: "We are very pleased with this award. It confirms our leading position in the area of trade finance in this region."
Bank Austria Creditanstalt is by far the largest trade finance bank in Austria. The bank supports more than half of all Austrian exports. It also holds the leading position in financing exports from Austria to Central and Eastern Europe, with a business volume of EUR 1.7 billion. The bank sees strong growth potential for the CEE region and plans to increase its financing volume to about EUR 3 billion over the next five years.
"Global Finance" has more than 300,000 readers in some 160 countries. Its target group comprises top managers and finance experts. The ranking is based on surveys and analyses in growth markets and financial centres.
