Günter Schubert appointed new Head of CIB Austria in the management board of UniCredit Bank Austria – Dieter Hengl new CEO of Schoellerbank and Head of Wealth Management Austria

Günter Schubert, 51, will take over the responsibilities of Dieter Hengl and will head Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) in Austria as a member of UniCredit Bank Austria’s management board with effect from 1 September 2019. He will also become a member of the Executive Committee of UniCredit’s Corporate & Investment Banking Division. Most recently Günter Schubert has been Global Head of Natural Resources and Head of Financing in Corporate & Investment Banking Germany.

Dieter Hengl will assume at the same time his new functions as CEO of Schoellerbank and as Head of Wealth Management Austria. He also becomes a member in the Group Wealth Management Executive Committee.

Günter Schubert has 31 years of banking experience, of which the last 22 years in international
banking and in Germany. In September 2017, he was appointed Global Head of Natural Resources following numerous responsible positions in UniCredit’s CIB Division. Since May 2018, he has further expanded his responsibilities with his function as Head of Financing Germany in the UniCredit Corporate & Investment Banking Division. He attained a Bachelor of Banking Services and Operations (CCI) with distinction from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
